When I first volunteered to serve on CES's board, my two children, Mason (then in grade 6) and Evangeline (then in grade 2), attended CCS. We had been a part of the Cornerstone family since 2017. My husband, Jamie, and I had just celebrated 13 years of marriage. At the time, we lived in Coventry. We have since moved to Texas. While I am a born-and-bred New England girl, my husband had been away from his family since joining the Naval Academy in 2004, and he was ready to move home.
I enjoy knitting (usually in the winter months) but LOVE to read and bake all year long. I love spending time with my husband and kiddos – whether we’re playing a game, taking a walk, going for a bike ride, or snuggling together on our bed, just visiting and laughing.
I graduated from E.C.S.U. in 2006 with a Bachelor of Arts in English Language & Literature. I could never pick just ONE favorite book, but my top three are easily The Lord of the Rings, Anne of Green Gables, and Jane Eyre. I am currently a stay-at-home mom, and I love it. When we were in Connecticut, I worked some days at CCS as a substitute teacher, and I loved that as well! I was so thankful to be able to help when needed, to be near my children throughout the day, and to have been a part of such an amazing school family.
