What Is a Biblical Worldview?

ABOUT CES

How and Why We Began

As the result of a mutual desire to help The Cornerstone Christian School (CCS) develop a viable financial plan to not just survive from year to year but to also thrive into the future, Jim Hawkins and Tammy Choleva attended a Donor Development Bootcamp in August of 2022. This bootcamp was hosted by Herzog Foundation and took place in Kansas City, Missouri. During the conference, Jim and Tammy learned the difference between (a) conducting annual fundraisers to help close the gap on the school's annual budget and (b) developing relationships with potential donors who can help build a more financially stable future for the school.

ABOUT THE CORNERSTONE CHRISTIAN SCHOOL

The Cornerstone Christian School in Manchester, Connecticut, was born in prayer. Over the course of the 1979-1980 school year, God laid a burden to pray for their children on the hearts of a women's Bible study group that met at the Manchester Church of the Nazarene. The vision to open a Christian school came directly from that burden of prayer. Through a series of miracles, much hard work, and God's blessing, The Cornerstone Christian School opened its doors in September of 1981 to 56 students in K-6. The school continued to add grades, moving forward in expansion to its first graduating class in June of 1990.
